Celeborn

Celeborn - Galadriel rules with Celeborn in Lothlorien because he was kin to Amroth the last King of the Golden Wood who was the son of Amdir (Malgalad, an adventurer prince from Doriath).  

Lord of the Galadhrim and a prince of Doriath. Doriath was a great elf kingdom in the 1st Age. It was in Doriath that Celeborn and Galadriel met and wed. In the 2nd Age, the Lord and Lady ruled Eregion where the three Elven Rings of Power were forged. They became the rulers of Lothlorien in the 3rd Age when his far kinsman, Amroth, the king of the Golden Wood, was lost at sea. "…and together through the ages of the world we have fought the long defeat." Celeborn gives to the fellowship the gift of three elven boats to travel the great river. He advises them about the terrain and dangers they will encounter. "Even if your Quest did not concern us closely, you should have refuge in this city." The film does not include these events. Celeborn is played by New Zealand actor Marton Csokas known to fans for his role as Borias on "Xena, Warrior Princess". Marton: "Celeborn is more fixed in his beliefs and methods than Galadriel, which is his failing, perhaps. As a team, they work well, although apparently they only have sex once every 2,000 years or so." By Rettaws
